The Financial and Administrative Systems IT Team supports a great variety of applications including Human Resources, Payroll, Timekeeping, Global Financials, Billing and Credit Card processing. The Data Architect will play a key role in helping to support the global network of over 7,000 rental locations plus a growing foreign licensee network. The Financial and Administrative Systems IT Team has a great mix of in house Java\Oracle and Microsoft\SQL Server applications. Many of the areas are developing Web Services to integrate with the growing number of iPhone and Android applications designed to stay connected with the customers and employees.


The Data Architect position is responsible for designing, developing and documenting conceptual and logical data models and data dictionaries for application databases and meta-data repositories. This position will work directly with Application Development and Data Management team members gathering data requirements and providing full support during development and migration activities. The Data Architect also conducts impact assessments, maintains documentation of all components of data architecture and provides technical leadership in database architecture.

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL

  • 3+ years of experience in an Oracle database environment with working knowledge of Oracle

  • 3+ years of experience in data modeling and relational database design

  • Must have knowledge of Power Designer or equivalent data architecture tool

Additional Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including good presentation and facilitation proficiency
  • Must be able to work independently
