Accounting Clerk - Business Management

Overview

Enterprise Holdings, LLC- South Central Group 55 Administrative Offices has an immediate opening for an Accounting Clerk at our Group Headquarters in Birmingham, AL.  This entry-level role will share in the responsibilities of account payables and account receivables.  This position will require high volumes of data entry in processing vendor payments and other vital paperwork processing.  We are looking for a team player with a proven work ethic who can bring added value to the department in the form of superior customer service to the outsourced vendors we work with. 

Responsibilities

  • Obtaining authorization for payment of vendor invoices
  • Coding vendor invoices for pyament in accordance with policies
  • Processing payments in PeopleSoft payables system
  • Filing and record retention responsibilities
  • Researching and resolving payment issues
  • Reconciling vendor statements to accounting records
  • Cash Receipting for various business lines
  • Assisting the Business Management team and other administrative departments as needed
  • Maintain flexibility with work schedule and work overtime as needed

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in an accounts payable role within the last 5 years
  • Proficient ten-key
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel Program (Highly Advanced Preferred)
  • Skill in the use of personal computers, database management and related software applicationsAccounting or Finance Degree a plus, but NOT required
  • People-Soft software proficiency experience a plus
  • Must be willing to accept a rate of pay at $13.70/hourly (non-negotiable)
  • Previous Accounting, Billing, A/R, A/P, or other clerical experience a plus
