Overview

The Enterprise Fleet Management (EFM) IT department has an immediate opening for an Architect to join our Data Services team. This role will have broad ability to set and influence strategy and technology choices across all IT disciplines and the EFM organization. This position will evaluate and integrate technologies to meet business goals, and will provide leadership and guidance to EFM engineering teams and other team members. 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and outlines data solution needs; defines the architecture and platforms to facilitate recurring reporting needs as well as rapid analytical discovery and application integration
  • Leads the technical efforts of moving existing technologies to and creating new solutions for Fleet’s AWS-based cloud ecosystem
  • Understands and translates business requirements to data strategies that align with overall technology vision
  • Designs, develops and enforces standards and architecture for all data needs within the organization
  • Designs specifications and standards for semantic layers and multidimensional models for complete Business Intelligence projects across all environments
  • Implements Master Data Management and Data Governance standards
  • Defines, creates and evaluates processes; identifies and recommends process improvements; designs solutions using knowledge of business strategy, security, technologies and architectural methods
  • Develops, documents and maintains overall view of data architecture, data models, data acquisition, and data retention
  • Collaborates with Engineers on the direction for the development of solutions or enhancements
  • Provide formal and informal training for Engineers across the IT organization
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging architectural methods and technologies for application to the environment

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Minimum of eight years of experience working in a data-centric development role
  • Minimum of five years in data warehouse modeling, design and implementation; experience with OLAP and OLTP
  • Minimum of five years of ETL experience
  • Broad knowledge of data technologies, tools, and disciplines including data modelling, dimensional models, third-normal-form structures, ETL/ELT, change data capture, slowly changing dimensions, and database tuning
  • Experience in implementing cloud-based technology solutions, especially in the data and integration spaces.
  • Expert in implementing technology Roadmaps with focus on Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence platforms
  • Experience partnering with internal and external application development teams to design and deliver new solutions
  • Proven track record of orchestrating the work of others to achieve business goals
