We offer solid architectural platforms with a strategic focus that clearly align to business growth and improving the customer experience. The Fleet Management systems, including EDGE, Fleet Commissions, Fleet Web and Autodata, are web based applications built using J2EE technology. PeopleSoft Financial modules used in EFMIT are Asset Management, Accounts Payables, Purchase Order, Lease Management (Real Estate), Billing , Accounts Receivables and General Ledger.

EFMIT has an opportunity for a Software Engineer 3 that is responsible for leading design and development of prototypes as well as performing complex application coding and programming. This position interprets end-user business requirements to develop and/or modify technical design specifications for off-the-shelf and/or custom-developed applications. The Software Engineer 3 also analyzes and reviews software requirements to determine feasibility of a design within time and cost restraints. Other responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the development of strategic planning for the department
  • Subject matter expert in more than one area of responsibility/module
  • Focus is on operational and strategic activities
  • Establishes, maintains and fosters relationships both within and outside the team and department
  • Provides instruction, guidance and mentoring to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments
  • Maintains documentation on application modifications and updates
  • Leads code reviews
  • Performs unit and integration testing; assists with developing unit test scripts; and partners with the business for functional testing
  • Plans and coordinates implementation activities
  • Migrates applications to quality assurance
  • Leads structured technical and functional walkthroughs of specifications and programming logic
  • Monitors task automation and implements process improvements; recommends enhancements that result in increased quality, efficiencies, and overall value to the IT organization
  • Monitors the effectiveness of established service level agreements to manage customer expectations and quality standards; assists with defining new service level agreements in response to changing needs
  • Protects our customers, our employees, and our brands by incorporating security and compliance in all decisions and daily job responsibilities; follows security policies and procedures; continuously identifies and recommends opportunities for improving security


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Authorized to work in the US and will not require sponsorship now or in the future
  • Available to work in the St. Louis office
  • Mastery knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials 9.2, PeopleTools 8.55 or above, PeopleSoft Asset Management Module, PeopleSoft General Ledger Module, and general financial solutions
  • Mastery knowledge of object-oriented application development principles, theories, and concepts


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Purchase Order, Lease Management (Real Estate), Billing and Accounts Receivable Modules
  • Knowledge of TWS work scheduler or similar work scheduling tools
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Atlassian Suite (JIRA, GIT, Confluence, etc.)
  • Accounting background or equivalent work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree 


Qualified applicants must also possess the following skills/competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with various IT and business teams
  • Ability to judge between what is requested and what is feasible given the parameters of the technology and the project, and be able to demonstrate the ability to identify impending problems and raise and solve issues
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills which include the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and set priorities
  • Excellent personal management skills emphasizing time management, organization, and attention to detail
  • Excellent knowledge of Application Engine, Integration Broker, PeopleCode and SQR
