ELCO Claims Services, a subsidiary of Enterprise Holdings, Inc. has an opening for a Claims Office Assistant in our Tampa, FL office. ELCO handles liability claims arising from rental car accidents involving Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Alamo Rent-A-Car, and National Car Rental. The Claims Office Assistant provides  support to our team of adjusters. Responsibilities include routing incoming calls, handling the office's daily mail tasks, preparing office reports, managing office supplies, maintaining physical and electronic files, etc. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys administrative work, is detail-oriented and has strong communication skills. This is a dynamic role in a collaborative and positive environment.

 

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Full benefits are included.  This office is located at:

Responsibilities

  • Answering phones and directing calls
  • Filing and organizing closed claim files
  • Completing various office reports
  • Picking mail up from the post office PO Box
  • Sorting and distributing mail in the office
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Maintaining file inventory
  • Transcribing statements
  • Other general administrative tasks to help the office run smoothly

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year of administrative, clerical or office work experience that included regular use of a computer required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to lift and carry 10 to 15 pounds
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a satisfactory driving record (no more than 2 moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past 3 years and no drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record in the last 5 years)
  • Must be able to work full-time
  • Must live within driving distance of Tampa, FL
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Must possess basic to intermediate knowledge/proficiency of Microsoft office, e-mail and internet
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and demands
  • Demonstrated strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and sound judgment
  • Knowledge of professional phone etiquette and the ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal employees and external customers
  • Proven strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to read, evaluate and process documents
  • Possess excellent problem solving abilities
