Overview

Enterprise Mobility has an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Vehicle Tech at our brand-new, state-of-the-art Service Center in Chelsea, MA. This temporary role allows employees to gain hand's on experience with performing light maintenance, Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and conducting the in-fleeting process according to procedures on our fleet of late model rental vehicles - no customer interaction involved.

 

This unique position is available to current students enrolled in an Automotive Technology program! This position is designed to be a temporary position with employment not to exceed 89 days and will start late May/early June and last through August.

 

The position offers the opportunity to grow and strengthen your skill set, while also having the opportunity to earn a full-time employment offer along with promotion and pay increases into our Maintenance and Auto Tech/Mechanic positions at the same location!

 

This position offers hourly pay (not flat rate) of $20 / hour. Consistent schedule of 40 hours per week.

 

This position is located at our Service Center 324 Marginal St Chelsea, MA 02150.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-fleet servicing on new vehicles according to company required procedures and utilizing the delivery checklist
  • Inspect new vehicle deliveries from transporter for damages and/or missing parts and complete the delivery receipt as required by the manufacturer
  • Performing light maintenance on vehicles in fleet and general lot maintenance
  • Responsible for prepping and inspection of new car stock, installing new units, labeling units with VIN stickers and key tags. 
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be a current student enrolled in an Automotive Technology program with an anticipated completion date in Spring 2025.
  • Basic mechanical experience required to perform light maintenance activities.
  • Must have valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past three years.
  • No drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record in the past five years (DUI/DWI).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
