Enterprise Mobility has an exciting career opportunity for an ASE Certified Diesel Bus-Truck Technician.  The Diesel Bus-Truck Technician performs light / medium duty diesel truck mechanical and warranty repairs, in-fleeting and vehicle certification and reconditioning services according to company policy and procedures. This position requires the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative.  Performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our Quality Standards.

 

The successful candidate will be required to work a full-time schedule with the following benefits:

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all warranty and mechanical repairs are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines.
  • Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs.
  • Perform routine and annual DOT required repairs and inspections.
  • Read and interpret diagnostic test results, often by using dials, gauges, and other computer equipment.
  • Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles.
  • Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts.
  • Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair.
  • Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures.
  • Utilize multiple manufacturers’ websites, software and diagnostic tools.
  • May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy-backs.
  • Participate in company and manufacturer approved training or other industry related training.
  • Maintain the work area in a safe, clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standards. 
  • Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of two years of mechanical experience working on buses or medium duty trucks.
  • A minimum of four (4) ASE certifications required (at least 2 Truck ASEs)
  • Ownership of standard hand tools to perform repairs and maintenance on current vehicles
  • High School Diploma / G.E.D. preferred. 
  • Degree in Automotive Technology, Completion of Automotive Technical College or Technical/vocational training preferred. 
  • Must have a current and valid drivers license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record with in the past 3 years.
  • No drug or alcohol related convictions on driving record within the past 3 years (DUI/DWI).
  • Subject to a pre-employment drug test and if hired, will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to operate manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
  • Must be able understand, read, write, and speak English.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Applicants will be required to submit an appropriate medical examiner's certificate, or submit to and successfully complete a D.O.T. medical examination.
