Overview

Enterprise Mobility's National and Alamo have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Automotive Technician.

 

The Apprentice Automotive Technician performs car service, repair, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and vehicle reconditioning service on a fleet of late model rental vehicles according to company policy and procedures – no customer interaction involved!  This position is located at our Service Center at 2780 Richmond Highway, Arlington VA 22202.

**This position is full time and apart from religious observances requires you to be available 40 hours/week between Sunday- Thursday 6:00 am - 2:00 pm.**

 

 

**Compensation for this position is up to $42.00/hour, starting at $31.50/hour (4 ASE’s Minimum) ** (additional compensation/hour - $1.25/hour for multiple current ASE’s above the 4 minimum certification + Virginia State Inspection- $3.50/hour)**

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all repairs and preventative maintenance are completed according to the manufacturers specifications and guidelines.
  • Complete required manufacturer's training and perform warranty and recall repairs.
  • Complete ADA installs as required upon completion of training.
  • Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair.
  • Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures.
  • Utilize multiple manufacturers’ websites, software and diagnostic tools.
  • May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy-backs. 
  • Maintain the work area in a safe and clean condition.
  • Requires ability to perform manual labor, such as, bending, kneeling, crouching, lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate physical activity which requires handling of objects up to 50 pounds with long periods of standing and walking.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Must have one of the following:
    • Two years of automotive repair training at an accredited technical / trade school OR
    • A minimum of one year of repair experience in an automotive repair shop servicing current model vehicles
  • At least four (4) ASE Recognized Certifications (A1-A8, L1 or L3)
  • Virginia State Inspection (Preferred but required within the first 90 days of employment)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Must have a valid US driver's license for a minimum of 1 year
  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing
  • Must have satisfactory background check inclusive of driving (no more than 2 moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past 3 years, and no DUI or DWI on driving record in the last 3 years) employment reference, education and social security.
